The most dreaded test has got to be the ever-time-wasting online SEM test. Can you believe it took me 20 plus tries to pass it? (the passing mark is 85%) I'm wondering where on earth did I get the kind of determination to re-trying about 8 times each time I brought myself to sit in front of the lap top, each time taking 3 hours and couldn't pass..

Luckily, this time I learnt my lesson and read up on the online virtual learning for XRD test and wrote my own notes which is 7 pages long. It took me 2 tries to pass it and 5 tries for the 3rd one. Thanks to FYP we have this stupid course to pass before we can continue using these equipments for our FYP. The worst thing is.. I don't even know if I require them for my FYP. ARGH!!! But if I don't pass it now, I wouldn't have a chance to continue taking the tests in Dec for lab usage next semester. Just in case my chance to use the machines got revoked, I think its better to play safe.

Online tests aren't fun at all: if you keep getting the same set of questions and still unable to pass it...Hate labsssssss

Went on a date out with dearest block 14 mates to ktv at Suntec's kbox followed by dinner at Wong Kok Hong Kong cafe at bugis. We were supposed to meet the freshies for steamboat but 20 bucks for a steamboat is ex!! You pay me 20 bucks I can cook for you and taste much better and you wouldn't smell of steam after coming out from the place.

Then, we were searching for a place to chill but couldn't find some place to sit down so we ended up going back to hall for frisbee and beer for e guys? Harold, yw and gang went to club. Feel abit jealous yet don't really have to mood to go either. Hmm.. I think I will miss hall days especially if you have fostered close friendships with hallmates like them. Hai.. wonder how life would be like after I graduate..

Feeling abit hungry now but no one wants to eat breakfast! Is everyone practising the art of becoming a god? Or that everyone is transforming into sleeping god coz they weather's too nice to sleep I had to laze in bed too! Ok time to study..

23rd Sept marks the marriage of xav's sis: Janice, and her husband: Keith. I had the honour of attending the tea ceremony and playing an important role as one of the 'bridesmaid'. Well, the only thing that is lacking from the entire wedding is xav's presence. MISS HIM!! He didn't have the honour of opening the car door for his bro-in-law and witnessing another sibling's marriage. A pity indeed. And so, I was there in place of him to witness his sis and bro-in-law tying the knot. And we arranged for a virtual tea ceremony with xav over msn.. =) As usual, his cousins were tyrants who act like adults but making a nuisance. One more reason to why kids are troublesome..

Plenty of memories from Jasmine's and Jason's wedding which I teared during their dinner 2 years ago. Now, they have a chubby and healthy daughter named Cherish. Can you imagine how time fliessssss..

Let me share with you what was interesting about the entire event..In the morning when the groom was suppose to fetch the bride back to his place after going through a few 'obstacles' set by the sisters, Keith's brothers dunk down chilli padis, bittergourd and lemons while he himself ate a lemon w wasabi and swear his love for Janice to the entire neighbourhood and singing a song for Janice in the wedding. Title of the song: Ni Shi Wo Jui Shen Ai De Nu Ren. Then, it was rounds of counting ang pow money and it came in a cheque worth $.1888 cents which we almost interpreted wrongly, Taiwan money and Indonesia Rupiah. ARGH!! Hey, very troublesome to go to the money changer to change into Sing dollars to split among ourselves okie..

Then, we got invaded by the guys coz xav mother(being nice), opened the other gate to let the Mei Po in, and they barged in! There was about 30 seconds of door-pushing, ramblings and screamings and the sisters trying to keep the doors closed but hey, how can we ever win a bunch of army guys huh..there went the games!

Well, dinner was tiring coz I helped out at the reception. Mind you, there were 57 tables in total, can you imagine the crowd and the number of ang pows they received. IMPRESSED~ There I saw pretty air stewardess who are friends of Janice, but no hunks..what a pity! =P The next thing I was impressed was the food served at the tables. I had roasted pig and lobster in the cold dish, Sharks' fin soup that came in PIECES uncut and served in a big plate, scallop, and hashima with glutinous rice ball for dessert. There was also a march in by the wedding couple with Keith's colleagues as the swordsmen in their number one. Pretty much fascinated! Quite abit of thoughts ran through my mind the entire day..tsk..

Everyone's getting married~ and getting married YOUNG. Speaking of that reminds me of zx's bf's friend who got married a day before Janice and Keith, at BINTAN! WAhhh.. more impressive ideas coming up when you gradually find yourself attending weddings more than ever..means, age is catching up on everyone around me, including myself.. aiks..maybe there'll reach a point in time when I dread receiving the big red card..I wonder..

It was such a pathetic day I think I should make it the most 'forgetful' day of my life. ARGH

First, I forgot I had to print out the slides for presentation this morning and only found out 10 minutes before the meeting with my prof. Thank goodness I was reminded. Next, I forgot to help my friend pay for her notes coz I had agreed to help her since I would be passing by the computer lab. Then, I forgot I wanted to create an excel sheet for my experiments to record the results.

THEN, the ultimate happened. I left my hp in the library's computer terminal. Dumb right. But thanks to this kind soul, who is rather handsome-looking, or should I say decent looking, I got my phone back!

Well, the story goes like this:
the kind soul apparently saw the photo of me and xav in my hp and he's quite smart to think that I use 'Dear' for my bf's contacts in my phone. SO, he called xav IN AUSTRALIA! Then, prob lady luck was smiling at me, xav who usually doesn't pick up my calls received the call and told the kind soul (Jason) to wait for me to call back and asked for his name. I thought that we probably saw each other coz he came to use my computer terminal as I left. When I was about to leave the library, frantically trying to search for my missing phone, he tapped on my shoulders and asked if I lost my hp. YAY! He's quite a good-looking chap who is kind-hearted (I mean, explains when he didn't take my phone and safe-keep it for himself). To think that I actually had forgotten to ask for his name! ARGH *guilty* LUCKY LUCKY! If not, I think I would be fretting over this birthday present xav got for me this yr..

And therefore, I thought Lady Luck was smiling at me when experiments screwed up at the lab. After meeting my mentor back in MSE lab, I left the lab without leaving my chemicals behind in the lab and almost brought it back! GOSH! Then, he called me to inform me that I left my thumbdrive in his office. ARGH! Ok that's enough for the day (I hoped) Then, I almost forgot my keys after dinner at the coffee shop!!!

I think..there's sufficient evidence for you to call me blur. WOPS. =P

Feeling half dead after a hell week of tests, projects, tutorials and more tests. Woes of a 22 yr old undergrad =(

Hardly have anytime for myself except to study, study and study. Pretty much worn out by the vast amount of work I have to handle.. sigh.. Another quiz coming up in the afternoon and gona start preparing some slides to update my prof on my fyp, which is on Wed. So you see, I haven't stopped working..

But I felt much better after dear msg me early in the morning to tell me how much he wish that he can come back soon. Believe me, the last month of waiting is the worse feeling ever. It's like not too far yet not too near as well. ARGH! We're all turning emo =P

Trying hard to memorise all these damn diagrams, pn junctions, pN junctions, p+n junctions. Sounds the same yeah? No they aren't. argh. WHATEVER. I shall just try my best to squeeze all these damn diagrams into the back of my head and at my finger tips. (eek)

Bear with me for all these gruntlings! It's term break next week, hopefully I'll have happier and more entertaining posts. Cheers~

Its was until when I read Kershin's blog that made me realised how time flies when I'm reminded of the ringing wedding bells in 2 weeks' time. One year passed by literally with a snap of your fingers. Xav's 2nd sis went through her ROM in Oct last year and in 2 weeks' time, it is time for us to witness yet another wedding. Is it possible to conclude that we're all growing up or growing old?

Maybe..before we all know it, we'll hear more bells ringing in time to come.

It is hard to imagine what my life will revolve around when I graduate. Work? Home? Money? Relationships? Responsibilities? I'm coming to realise that growing up is indeed a whole truckload of responsibilites, time management and relationship management.

How I wish I could easily take one step back and slow things down to ponder about childhood dreams that I neglected while keeping up with society. Or how I wish I could lead life simply like to set up a dessert stalls for family hang-arounds or having make-shift stalls that helps to design nail arts for youngsters. Well, just wishful thinking on my part.. Life ain't simple as I thought but to some, they prefer complications which I wonder why. Why burden yourself with unnecessary unhappiness and hurt friends around you. No one owes anyone a living.

Perhaps some of you out there are going through this crossroad like I am, thinking about what they want for their future and fight for it.

Think hard. Maybe it will get you where you want to be.

Well, I enjoyed myself at the Shape Run yesterday with buddies like sw and hb. Thanks to sw who accompanied me throughout the race! Greatly appreciated her efforts for being there for me when I felt like giving up! It was my first ever try at this 10km run for Shape. I guess I will attempt to join it every year! Well, it was partly for the excellency in the organizing committee of Shape who made the process swift and prompt! Definitely was for the route that we ran, not with pebbles like the previous race, nor full of upslopes! And many thanks to the cooling weather that made the race breezy and enjoyable! But I felt it wasn't the best race ever coz I had diarrhoea in the morning and went to the toilet 3 times before the race!!! Geez. Ate like a cow for lunch w sw and derrick! Woo Hoo!!

Another achievement recorded in Fang's history textbook on the 9th Sept. =)
